Georgia
Documentary storytelling for the present, not the performing.
From the atmospheric ruins of Barnsley Gardens to the salt-air elegance of the Savannah coast, we document weddings across Georgia with a lens shaped by music, cinematography, and the quiet study of human connection. We are David and Katie — a husband-and-wife team paying attention to the way your day actually feels, so you can remember it exactly as it was.
Introduction
Georgia is a state of distinct rhythms. There is the slow, deliberate pulse of a coastal wedding in St. Simons, the sharp, clear air of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the historic weight of a Savannah estate. To document a wedding here is to understand how the environment dictates the energy of the room.
Our approach is built on a single philosophy: Present, not performing.
We don’t believe in the “wedding industry” standard of choreographed poses and artificial light. Instead, we move through your day like close friends with a camera — quiet, attentive, and deeply observant. Whether you are exchanging vows under the oaks of the Ford Field & River Club or hosting an intimate mountain gathering, our goal is to witness the small, honest things that usually go unseen.
The exhales. The glances. The hands on shoulders. These are the moments that hold the most weight twenty years from now.
Venue Expertise
As a Georgia wedding photographer and filmmaker team, we’ve spent years navigating the diverse architecture and light of this state. Every venue requires a different eye — a different way of reading the room. Here is how we see some of our favorite Georgia landscapes.
Monteluce brings a Tuscan sensibility to the North Georgia mountains — terraced vineyards, warm stone, and light that shifts gold as it crosses the ridgeline. We lean into the European texture of the property, documenting the interplay between the intimate scale of the winery and the expansive mountain views beyond it. It’s a venue that rewards patience and a cinematic eye.
There is a deliberate quiet to The Chapel on McEver that we find deeply compelling. The architecture frames natural light with intention, and the grounds offer a range of editorial moments — from the ceremony itself to the gardens beyond. We approach this venue with an eye for the way the space amplifies the emotion already in the room.
Kimball Hall in Roswell carries a historic weight that translates beautifully to documentary photography. The venue’s classic southern architecture and mature grounds give us a rich palette of textures and tones. We focus on the intimacy these spaces create — the way a hallway frames a first look, the way afternoon light moves across the reception floor.
Vinewood Stables offers a blend of pastoral landscape and refined detail that makes it ideal for couples who want their day to feel grounded and unhurried. We use the open fields, the aged wood, and the natural horizon line to tell a story that moves between the grand and the intimate — the kind of place where documentary photography feels completely at home.
Chimney Oaks has a textured, lived-in character that we find endlessly interesting to photograph. The property’s mix of rustic architecture and curated grounds creates natural contrast — the kind of visual tension that makes a gallery feel rich and layered. We document these weddings with an editorial eye, leaning into the venue’s personality rather than smoothing it over.
Photo & Film
Choosing a photographer and filmmaker shouldn’t feel like hiring two competing teams. We are a husband-and-wife studio because we believe the two mediums should work in total harmony.
David handles the cinematography, cutting every film with the rhythm of a song and the eye of a director. Katie handles the photography, watching for the still moments that deserve to be held forever. Because we work together, we never repeat each other’s shots. We never cross paths in the frame. We move in sync, paying attention to different aspects of the same room.
The result is a unified collection of memories. A film that captures the sound of your vows and the movement of your dance, paired with photographs that allow you to sit with a single, profound second. It is the complete story of your wedding, told through two lenses that see the world exactly the same way.
City Guide
While we document stories across the entire state of Georgia, our home is in the heart of the city. If you are planning an urban celebration at a venue like The Piedmont Room or Bishop Station, explore our dedicated Atlanta guide.
Atlanta Wedding Photographer GuideFAQ
We are based in Atlanta, but we consider all of Georgia our home territory. For major hubs like Savannah, St. Simons, and Blue Ridge, travel is often built into our collections or kept to a minimal flat rate to ensure the focus remains on the storytelling.
In the mountains, we love the “blue hour” just after sunset for its soft, cinematic tones. On the coast, golden hour is unmatched for the way it interacts with the water and moss. We work closely with you on your timeline to ensure we’re using the best light available at your specific venue.
We are experts at pivoting. Whether it’s a sudden afternoon shower in Savannah or high humidity in August, we use the atmosphere to our advantage. Documentary photography is about truth — and sometimes the most beautiful stories are told in the rain or the heat. We also always scout for indoor backup options that maintain the editorial integrity of your gallery.
Most of our Georgia couples book 10 to 14 months in advance. Because we only take a limited number of weddings each year to ensure we can give each film and gallery the time it deserves, we recommend reaching out as soon as your venue is secured.
