We’re David and Katie — a husband-and-wife photo and film team based in Atlanta, with documentary wedding work in New York and wherever you’re getting married. We move through wedding days the way close friends would: quietly, attentively, the camera close but never in the way.

David
I came to weddings through music and cinematography — not the wedding industry. The artists and filmmakers who shape me work outside it: travel photographers, content creators, directors I’d never meet at a wedding showcase. I cut every film the way you’d edit a song: to your speeches, to the silence after the vows, to the rhythm of the day. Movement is how I think about a wedding — where people stand, where the light is heading, where the camera should be one beat before something happens.

Therapy is where I learned to read a room — and to put people at ease with a camera in it. I’m drawn to architecture, interior design, books, and 35mm film. Those shape how I photograph people: with care for composition, light, and presence. When a couple feels awkward in front of a lens, I’m watching for the moment they stop performing and just are. That’s the photograph I want to make.
Photography and film don’t compete on a wedding day; they pay attention to different things. Katie watches for the still moment — the look, the hand on a shoulder, the way light lands on a face. David watches for motion — the laughter mid-vow, the walk down the aisle, the room turning toward you.
We move through the day in sync, never repeating each other, never asking you to perform. What you receive is the day from two perspectives — one frozen, one moving — built to be returned to. See more of our recent work or learn about the experience.

The Approach
Before we raise a camera, we read the room. We notice where families gather, where light pools, where you exhale before walking in. Our job isn’t to choreograph your day — it’s to stay close enough that the small things have a witness, and far enough that nothing changes because we’re there. The result is documentary in spirit and editorial in finish — images that feel honest and look like art.
